The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated on 14 August 2025 in Govt Graduate College for Women Dubai Mahal Road Bahawalpur with great zeal and zest. The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by dua-e-khair and Quran Khawani for the prosperity of Pakistan. Class IV staff members were awarded for their dedication and hard work in the beautification campaign. Students participated enthusiastically through speeches, milli naghmas, and thematic performances. A documentary titled “حصولِ آزادی سے تحفظِ آزادی تک” was presented, highlighting the journey from gaining independence to safeguarding it. The Chief Guest Dr.Sharafat Ali (Director Colleges Bahawalpur), Prof. Tasleem Alam (Deputy Director Colleges Bahawalpur), Mrs.Shaheen Fareeda Retired Professor and Historian( Our Guest Speaker) and the Principal of College (Mrs. Sadia Hameed Rehmani Sahiba) addressed the gathering, sharing their thoughts and inspiration. After the national anthem, participants students were awarded certificates then special tributes were paid to the martyrs whose sacrifices ignited the eternal flame of hope for Pakistan.
